Gerry Plumb                                  Painter

Gerry was born and raised in London, and studied at Shrewsbury School of Art during the 1960s. He began his career as a press artist before returning to London to work as an illustrator in advertising and publishing. A lifelong fascination with the sea and many sailing trips to the West Country eventually tempted him to settle in a 17th Century Water Mill in the very far west of Cornwall, where he found the harbours and the natural textures as a constant source of inspiration. He recently moved back to Shropshire where he now lives and paints his unique and often humorous compositions depicting rural life.
