I have a passion for art and horses in equal measure for as long as I can remember. From and early age I've spent more time doodling, drawing and painting than any other activity. Currently my time is almost entirely devoted to painting Equestrian and Wildlife subjects. I do also work on various commissioned paintings and pet portraits.
I've been inspired by modern and period hyper-realism, also the romance, drama and symbolism of Pre-Raphaelite and the Renaissance artists. In my equestrian paintings I work on projecting my own perception of the horse, the powerful carriage, the movement, the colours and expressions which all conjure my admiration. The horse is a creature of flight and it never fails to evoke such a positive sense of freedom and exhilarationin me. I have a particular and enduring fascination with the Andalusian Horse. The combination of elegance, strength and spirit is a truly magical and wondrous example of EQUUS.
